Often times referred to “Mayberry” Valley Village was originally formed and incorporated in 1939. With a beautification panel of 500 women, a meeting was held and decided that Valley Village would be a model community of small parks, recreation centers, cycling paths, neighborhoods, etc.  In 1986, the VVHA was formed to ensure a specific plan of development, working hand in hand with the Neighborhood Council to make certain that Valley Village continues to be a quality place to live.

Valley Village is home to Colfax Charter Elementary, North Hollywood High, Adat Ari, Valley Torah, Oakwood and others.  Valley Village Park is in walking distance from most locations. It is studio close, a short drive “over the hill” or downtown, and is infamous for it’s 4th of July Parade.
